New Permits Hint at Changes for DinoLand Meet and Greet, Restaurantosaurus

Overview

  • On August 4, Walt Disney Imagineering filed two Notices of Commencement for general construction at Restaurantosaurus and the former DinoLand meet-and-greet area, with Whiting-Turner contracted for the work.
  • Restaurantosaurus will remain operational through 2025 as the quick-service location undergoes future retheming for the Tropical Americas land.
  • A separate permit filed on August 6 tasks Mecca Productions, Inc. with installing set elements at the DINOSAUR show building, marking the first steps toward its Indiana Jones transformation.
  • Disney is expected to retain the existing DINOSAUR track and ride system while updating interior and exterior scenic elements for the new attraction.
