Overview

  • Walt Disney Imagineering lodged two Notices of Commencement on August 4 for general construction at Restaurantosaurus and the former DinoLand meet-and-greet near TriceraTop Spin, naming Whiting-Turner as contractor.
  • On August 6 a separate permit assigned Mecca Productions to install set elements inside the DINOSAUR show building, signaling early theming work before its closure after 2025.
  • Disney confirmed Restaurantosaurus will remain open through the end of 2025 before being repurposed into a large quick-service hacienda as part of the Tropical Americas land.
  • DinoLand U.S.A. is being phased out in stages with The Boneyard closing September 1, 2025 and remaining attractions—including DINOSAUR—shutting down in 2026.
  • Tropical Americas is slated to debut in 2027 anchored by an Encanto ride-through experience and a new Indiana Jones adventure set in a Maya temple.
