Disney Destiny Christened in Fort Lauderdale, Set to Begin Nov. 20 Sailings

The seventh Disney Cruise Line ship spotlights a heroes-versus-villains concept with new adult lounges alongside franchise-led dining.

  • Disney Destiny was christened at Port Everglades on Nov. 10 with a drone show lasting over 10 minutes and appearances by Josh D’Amaro, Joe Schott, Susan Egan, Captain Mickey and Captain Minnie.
  • The ship is scheduled to start four- and five-night cruises to the Bahamas and Western Caribbean from Fort Lauderdale on Nov. 20.
  • The Wish-class vessel leans into a unified heroes-and-villains theme, adding adult-focused spaces including the pirate-themed Cask & Cannon tavern and the Doctor Strange–inspired Sanctum Lounge.
  • Media previews showcased De Vil’s Piano Lounge on Deck 3 as an adults-only Cruella De Vil–inspired piano bar with live performances and possible appearances by Cruella plus original characters Zayah and Gamble.
  • Guests can expect rotational dining at Pride Lands: Feast of the Lion King, Worlds of Marvel and 1923, along with a new Hercules stage show and a fresh AquaMouse storyline, while Disney targets a 13-ship fleet by 2031 and prepares Disney Adventure for Singapore in March 2026.
