Disney Debuts ‘Muppet Christmas Carol’ Display at Hollywood Studios as Park Muppet Plans Advance

The seasonal exhibit offers a rare in-park showcase for the 1992 film following the closure of Muppet*Vision 3D.

Walt Disney Presents has opened a “Disney Takes a Holiday” display featuring original costumes, production photos, and a miniature village model from The Muppet Christmas Carol.
Items on view include Gonzo’s Charles Dickens coat, Rizzo’s attire, Kermit’s Bob Cratchit wardrobe, and Tiny Tim’s costume.
The installation is temporary and sits alongside artifacts from The Santa Clause, Noelle, and Babes in Toyland, with a Santa meet-and-greet and classic holiday shorts in the theater.
Disney has confirmed Rock ’n’ Roller Coaster will reopen in summer 2026 with a Muppets re-theme starring the Electric Mayhem, replacing the Aerosmith branding.
Outlets note speculation about potential seasonal overlays tied to the film, but Disney has not announced any such plans.
