Disney Cruise Line Takes Delivery of Disney Adventure Ahead of March Singapore Debut

The refitted former Global Dream brings Disney-first attractions to a ship set to begin Singapore sailings in March 2026.

Overview

  • Meyer Werft handed over the vessel to Disney Cruise Line following sea trials, marked by a ceremony featuring company leaders and Disney characters.
  • At about 208,000 gross tons with capacity around 6,000 guests, Disney Adventure becomes the largest ship in the Disney fleet.
  • The ship will be based in Singapore with the maiden voyage planned for March 2026, and outlets report mostly three- and four-night sea-focused itineraries.
  • The redesign introduces an open-air central atrium, the Ironcycle Test Run roller coaster, a castle at sea, and themed districts including Wayfinder Bay, San Fransokyo Street, Marvel Landing, and Imagination Garden.
  • Originally built as Global Dream for Genting’s Dream Cruises, the vessel was acquired mid-build by Disney for a reported $47 million, and its December 2025 debut was delayed with rebooking options offered to affected guests.
