Disney Completes Bay Lake Tower Villa Overhaul at Contemporary Resort

A Disney media preview showcased redesigned two-bedroom villas with full kitchens, expanded sleeping options, and Mary Blair–inspired art.

Overview

  • Media outlets toured finished Bay Lake Tower DVC villas, confirming the year-long refurbishment has wrapped across all rooms.
  • The updated 2-bedroom villa sleeps up to nine with two bedrooms, three bathrooms, a full kitchen, washer/dryer, a pull-down queen bed, and an additional pull-down twin.
  • Design updates feature Mary Blair–inspired motifs and new Joey Chou artwork referencing Magic Kingdom lands, including Tomorrowland and parade iconography.
  • Top of the World Lounge — A Villains Lair now operates for eligible DVC Members with capacity limits, with optional paid access via Wicked Wind Down ($55) or Enchantment at the Top Dessert Party ($89 adult, $49 child) that include reserved fireworks viewing.
  • Bay Lake Tower sits on the monorail next to Magic Kingdom, and while it is a DVC property, non-members can book stays when inventory is available; reporters also previewed the new Island Tower at Disney’s Polynesian Villas & Bungalows.
