Disney Commits $5 Million to Rebuild Altadena’s Charles White Park for 2026 Reopening

The project advances Disney’s $15 million pledge to help Los Angeles recover from the January wildfires.

Overview

  • Walt Disney Imagineering is collaborating with Los Angeles County on site planning, landscape architecture, and playground design for the park.
  • Designs feature pinecone-inspired play areas, a splash pad, bridges, boulders, slides, swings, a new community center, and an outdoor amphitheater, with surviving elements preserved.
  • Imagineers are also supporting recovery at two additional Altadena parks that sustained severe wildfire damage.
  • Disney will participate in Altadena’s Dec. 6 Christmas Tree Lane Lighting with character appearances, volunteer efforts, and a donation of more than 1,000 toys to the community drive.
  • The rebuild follows the Eaton Fire that devastated the area; more than 150 Disney employees, including 15 Imagineers, lost homes and many have volunteered in the recovery.
