Disney Announces Fifth 'Descendants' Film Set in Wonderland

The movie will explore the aftermath of time-traveling adventures and introduce new characters tied to 'Alice in Wonderland.'

The fifth installment of Disney's 'Descendants' franchise is officially in development and set for release in 2026.
Kylie Cantrall and Malia Baker will reprise their roles as Princess Red and Princess Chloe, daughters of the Queen of Hearts and Cinderella, respectively.
The new movie will be set in present-day Wonderland and focus on the consequences of altering time, a theme introduced in the 2024 film, 'Descendants: The Rise of Red.'
New characters include Red's sister Pink, Max Hatter, Luis Madrigal, and Hazel Hook, with more casting announcements to follow.
Production will begin soon, with Kimmy Gatewood directing and returning screenwriters Dan Frey, Ru Sommer, and Tamara Chestna penning the script.
