Disney+ and ITVX to Launch Reciprocal 'Taste of' Content Rails on July 16

Rotating rails will feature 70–100 hours of partner programming to tap complementary viewers across both services under shared ad-sales frameworks.

Overview

  • The partnership introduces “A Taste of ITVX” on Disney+ and “A Taste of Disney+” on ITVX starting July 16 at no extra cost to subscribers.
  • Each platform will swap about 70–100 hours of curated shows and movies with titles refreshed every couple of months to maintain viewer interest.
  • Disney+ UK customers will access ITVX hits such as Mr Bates vs The Post Office, Love Island and Spy Among Friends free of charge.
  • ITVX viewers will enjoy Disney+ fare including The Bear, Andor and Only Murders in the Building with ad-free viewing available on the premium tier.
  • Advertising revenues for the swapped rails will be split between ITV and Disney+ and Disney is in active talks to replicate the model with other European broadcasters.
