Disney+ and Hulu Prices to Rise Oct. 21 as Most Bundles Jump $2–$3

Disney frames the increases as part of a plan to lift streaming margins after successive years of price resets.

Overview

  • Effective Oct. 21, Disney+ with ads will cost $11.99 per month (+$2) and the ad-free Premium tier will be $18.99 per month (+$3), with the annual Premium plan rising to $189.99.
  • Hulu with ads increases to $11.99 per month and ESPN Select moves to $12.99, with notices sent to subscribers today; new prices hit existing customers on their first billing date on or after Oct. 21.
  • Bundles largely rise by $2–$3: Disney+ and Hulu with ads goes to $12.99, Disney+, Hulu and ESPN Select with ads to $19.99, the premium version to $29.99, and HBO Max bundles up $3.
  • Some offerings are unchanged, including the ad-free Disney+ and Hulu bundle at $19.99 and the ESPN Unlimited bundles at $35.99 with ads or $44.99 ad-free.
  • In the U.K., the annual Disney+ standard plan increased to £99.90 on Sept. 30, and this marks the fourth straight year of Disney streaming price hikes, with reports noting the timing follows the Kimmel suspension backlash though sources say the rises were preplanned.
