Disney Accelerates DinoLand U.S.A. Teardown as Final Closures Set for Feb. 2

The area will transition to Pueblo Esperanza, a Tropical Americas land featuring Encanto elements plus a planned Indiana Jones attraction on the DINOSAUR footprint.

Overview

  • Construction barriers have tightened and pathways have narrowed as crews actively dismantle DinoLand U.S.A. ahead of the changeover.
  • DINOSAUR and Restaurantosaurus will close permanently on February 2, effectively ending all remaining operations in the land.
  • TriceraTop Spin, Fossil Fun Games, Chester & Hester’s Dinosaur Treasures, The Boneyard, Trilo-Bites, and Dino-Bite Snacks were shuttered in 2025 as removal progressed.
  • Plans call for a new Indiana Jones ride with an original story to replace DINOSAUR, leveraging the existing building and ride system.
  • The reduced ride lineup may affect crowd flow and Lightning Lane calculus at Animal Kingdom, with Flight of Passage remaining the prime paid-access target.
