Overview
- In its Q3 FY26 earnings on Wednesday, August 5, 2026, Disney published an updated schedule that moves planned deliveries forward and shows three new ships slated to debut in calendar 2029.
- The Disney Believe, the fourth Wish-class ship under construction at Meyer Werft in Papenburg, remains on track to enter service in late 2027 and will be detailed in an October livestream reveal.
- The Oriental Land Company will operate a Japan-based Wish-class ship that Disney lists for 2029 while OLC’s own disclosures estimate construction costs and target full-year operation in fiscal 2029, creating a timing discrepancy with earlier OLC hopes for 2028.
- Ships labeled 11, 12 and 13 are part of a new, smaller mid-size class positioned between Disney’s Magic- and Dream-class vessels, with Ship 12 moved into late 2029 and Ship 13 now targeted for late 2030.
- The accelerated schedule should bring the company to a 13-ship fleet sooner than previously planned and could expand itinerary options, port demands and cruise revenue for Disney Experiences as construction and financial planning continue.
