Overview

• The robbery took place at about 8:02 p.m. Tuesday at the 7-Eleven on Higgins Road in Park Ridge
• Two suspects dressed as women entered the store, walked behind the counter and sprayed the clerk with what police believe was mace
• The perpetrators stole several cartons of cigarettes and bottles of liquor before fleeing on foot south along Cumberland Avenue
• The injured clerk was treated for non-life-threatening injuries at a local hospital and is now in stable condition
• Park Ridge police are examining store surveillance video and asking anyone with information to contact the department
