Overview

  • The agency recorded 11,405 discrimination inquiries in 2024, more than double the 4,247 cases logged in 2019.
  • Racial discrimination accounted for 43% of complaints, followed by disability bias at 27% and gender bias at 24%.
  • One in three cases involved workplace discrimination, including hiring bias, promotion barriers and reported sexual harassment.
  • Approximately one quarter of complaints stemmed from interactions with state bodies, which are not covered by the current AGG.
  • Agency head Ferda Ataman urged lawmakers to reform the AGG to extend legal protections to public authorities.
