Discord Rolls Out Checkpoint, Its First Personalized Year-in-Review

Only accounts with data personalization enabled plus sufficient 2025 activity receive a recap.

Overview

  • The rollout began Dec. 4 and is reaching users over several days, with desktop and browser access broadly available as mobile viewing remains temporarily limited for some users.
  • To view it, update Discord and click the flag icon in the top-right on desktop; on mobile the Checkpoint banner appears in the You tab once enabled for your account.
  • Checkpoint summarizes non-content activity from 2025, including messages sent, hours in voice, most-talked-to friends, favorite servers, most-used emoji, and top five games.
  • Users who disabled data personalization or lacked enough 2025 activity will not get a recap, and turning personalization on now will not generate a 2025 Checkpoint.
  • After viewing, users receive one of ten Checkpoint cards and a matching avatar decoration usable until Jan. 15, 2026, and Discord also shared platform-wide stats such as 744 billion messages and reactions and the red heart as the most-used emoji.
