Diputación and Iberdrola Sign €4 Million Rehabilitation Plan for Catarroja Agricultural School

Work will restore the main nave, expand classrooms by two floors, add an auditorium, install specialized labs, prepare the site for construction.

  • The Diputación de València and Fundación Iberdrola finalized a €4 million agreement to rehabilitate the flood-damaged Escuela de Capataces Agrícolas de Catarroja.
  • Funding comprises €3 million from Fundación Iberdrola and €1 million from the Diputación de València.
  • Detailed designs have been unveiled and site preparations are underway for construction later this summer.
  • The restoration will recover original masonry, urbanize over 4,600 m² of outdoor space and include a 250-seat auditorium, irrigation and environmental labs, plus a new greenhouse.
  • A 30 kW photovoltaic system and other eco-friendly installations will cut energy use and boost the facility’s self-sufficiency.
