Diplo Faces New Accusation of Distributing Revenge Porn
Shelly Auguste's police report is currently under review by the Los Angeles city attorney’s office, with a civil trial set for April 2024.
- Diplo, whose real name is Thomas Wesley Pentz, is accused of distributing revenge porn by Shelly Auguste, who filed a police report in August 2023.
- Auguste and Diplo have been in a legal battle since 2020, with both parties filing lawsuits against each other. Auguste is suing for sexual battery, gender violence, intentional intrusion into private affairs, battery, assault, defamation, intentional infliction of emotional distress, fraud, violation of the Ralph Civil Rights Act and violation of the Tom Bane Civil Rights Act. Diplo is suing for stalking, trespassing, and distributing private materials.
- The Los Angeles Police Department submitted Auguste’s report to the Los Angeles city attorney’s office in November, where it is currently under review.
- Auguste was granted a new temporary restraining order against Diplo in September 2023, which was extended through the end of 2023. Diplo's request for his own restraining order was denied.
- The civil trial between Auguste and Diplo is set to start in April 2024.
