Dipika Kakar Awaits New Test Reports, Prepares for FAPI Scan in Cancer Follow-Up

She continues two-year targeted therapy with regular scans.

Overview

  • Kakar and husband Shoaib Ibrahim said they gave blood samples on November 4 and are awaiting the reports, promising to share an update once they arrive.
  • She said another FAPI scan is scheduled for the first week of November, following an earlier scan that detected no cancer cells elsewhere in her body.
  • Doctors previously removed about 22% of her liver in June, including an approximately 11-centimetre tumour from what she described as stage 2 liver cancer.
  • Post-surgery monitoring has included blood and tumour-marker tests that she says have been returning normal results, alongside ongoing oral targeted therapy planned for two years.
  • Her medical team has not identified a clear cause for the tumour, and she discussed the uncertainty, treatment journey and family support on Bharti Singh and Haarsh Limbachiyaa’s podcast.
