Dino Morea Questioned by ED in ₹65 Crore Mithi River Desilting Probe

  • Dino Morea and his brother Santino spent over four hours being questioned at the ED’s Ballard Estate office on June 12.
  • The agency is probing roughly ₹18 lakh in payments to a firm co-founded by Santino Morea and Punita Kadam, wife of accused middleman Ketan Kadam.
  • On June 6, the ED carried out searches at 18 sites in Mumbai, Kochi and Thrissur, including the residences and offices of the Morea brothers.
  • The Mumbai Police EOW filed an FIR on May 6 against 13 individuals for causing an alleged ₹65.54 crore loss through tender manipulation in ₹1,100 crore desilting contracts.
  • Sources say senior BMC officials have hindered document access and that investigators are reviewing property records for signs of money laundering.
