‘Dinner for One’ Returns for New Year’s Eve 2024 with Extensive Broadcast Schedule

The classic comedy sketch ‘Dinner for One’ will be broadcast multiple times on New Year’s Eve 2024 and New Year’s Day 2025 across German and international networks.
The original version, starring Freddie Frinton and May Warden, will air on channels like NDR, WDR, and Das Erste, with notable time slots including 18:00 on ARD and multiple late-night showings.
Special dialect versions, such as ‘Dinner op Kölsch’ and ‘A Dinner vor Wan(ne),’ will also be featured, alongside a 60th-anniversary jubilee special on NDR at 20:15.
The sketch, originally recorded in 1963 and first aired on New Year’s Eve in 1972, has become a cultural tradition in Germany, recognized as the most-repeated TV program in history.
