DIMDEX 2026 Opens in Doha With Multinational Warship Display

Organizers bill this ninth edition as the largest to date, with EDGE joining for the first time.

A presentation at Hamad Port showcased vessels from Kuwait, Oman, Russia, Saudi Arabia and France, including Russia’s frigate Marshal Shaposhnikov and France’s Provence.
Qatar highlighted its own capabilities with the landing ship Al-Fulk as delegations toured the moored warships.
Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani inaugurated the main pavilion at the National Convention Center earlier on opening day.
Warships at Hamad Port will be open to public visitors from January 20 to 22.
The forum runs January 19–22 with more than 200 exhibitors and over 130 official delegations, with attendance expected to exceed 25,000.
