Digital Life Certificate Drive Tops 55 Lakh Submissions in First Four Days

Rapid uptake reflects camps across cities, bank drives, IPPB doorstep visits, alongside smartphone face authentication.

Overview

  • The Department of Pension and Pensioners’ Welfare launched DLC Campaign 4.0 on November 1, running through November 30 with a month-long target of two crore submissions.
  • Collaboration spans 19 banks, IPPB, UIDAI, MeitY, EPFO, Railways and pensioners’ groups, deploying about 2,500 camps and IPPB outreach in over 1,600 districts.
  • State Bank of India inaugurated a mega camp in New Delhi and will run face-authentication camps in 115 cities across 575 branches, plus drives at roughly 2,400 high‑pensioner branches.
  • EPFO has tied up with India Post Payments Bank to offer free doorstep Digital Life Certificate submission for EPS‑95 pensioners using postmen and Gramin Dak Sewaks equipped for biometric capture.
  • Pensioners must submit during the November window to avoid payment interruption, with those aged 80 and above allowed to start on October 1, using Aadhaar‑based Jeevan Pramaan that delivers certificates directly to disbursing agencies.
