Overview

  • DRW Venture Capital and Tradeweb Markets co-led the $135 million strategic round alongside investors including Goldman Sachs, BNP Paribas, Citadel Securities, Circle Ventures, DTCC, Virtu Financial and Paxos.
  • Canton is a public, permissionless blockchain built for financial institutions to transfer assets and data under regulatory requirements with configurable privacy controls.
  • Since its pilot launch last year, the network has tokenized trillions of dollars of assets such as bonds, money market funds, commodities, repurchase agreements, mortgages, life insurance and annuities.
  • Several funding participants have already contributed to Canton’s testing, governance and application development phases.
  • The new capital will accelerate the onboarding of high-quality real-world assets and broaden global institutional participation on the network.
