Overview
- The crash occurred around 09:45 between the Sinsheim and Wiesloch/Rauenberg junctions, shutting all lanes toward Mannheim.
- The minibus clipped a Porsche, then veered into the lorry it sought to pass, bursting a tyre and tearing off the truck’s rear bumper.
- The detached bumper hit a second articulated lorry, rupturing its diesel tank and spreading fuel across all three lanes.
- The at-fault driver sustained minor injuries and was taken to hospital; other drivers were unhurt; a precautionary rescue helicopter was not required.
