Dierks Bentley Explains Separate Bedrooms With Wife Cassidy, Plans Return to Shared Room

The country singer cites chronic sleep issues as the reason for the arrangement.

Overview

  • Speaking on the Sept. 2 episode of BobbyCast, Bentley said he and Cassidy currently do not sleep in the same room.
  • He described himself as a "horrible" sleeper who needs precise pillow positioning and wakes at even slight movement.
  • Years ago he replaced their shared bed with two platform beds, separate box springs, mattresses and duvets to limit disturbances.
  • Bentley said Cassidy has lately slept on a couch or in an extra room, and the pair want to be back in the same bedroom before the end of the year.
  • To encourage the change, he added a TV and his father's recliner to the bedroom; the couple married in 2005 and have three children.
