Overview

• Die Linke’s ranks grew from about 58,532 members at the end of 2024 to 115,623 by June 2025.
• Women now account for 44.5% of the party, the highest proportion among Germany’s major parties.
• Nearly 60% of members are 35 or younger, giving Die Linke the youngest membership profile in the country.
• Western German branches more than doubled their membership since January while Eastern regions saw growth of around one-third.
• Leaders attribute the increase to members’ desire for distribution justice, peace and socially just climate protection.
