  • The nine-member body oversees the BND, MAD and BfV; the Union holds the chair under Marc Henrichmann with two other members, the SPD has two and the Greens one.
  • In a separate decision, party leader Ines Schwerdtner failed to secure a place on the federal debt-control committee with 253 yes, 284 no, 31 abstentions and seven invalid votes.
