‘Die jungen Ärzte,’ a spinoff of ‘In aller Freundschaft,’ has been on air since January 2015, producing 11 seasons and 565 hours of content.
The series will air a special 10th-anniversary episode on January 30, featuring a storyline centered on the deadly Marburg virus and a quarantine scenario at the fictional Johannes-Thal-Klinikum.
The episode will highlight the challenges faced by the show's assistant doctors as they navigate the crisis.
Fans can revisit the series’ origins as the first season will be made available on the ARD Mediathek to celebrate the milestone.
Since its debut, the show has depicted 631 fictional operations and used 50 liters of artificial blood, according to ARD representatives.
