Diddy Transferred to FCI Fort Dix to Begin 50-Month Federal Sentence

The placement enables access to a residential drug-treatment program his lawyers sought.

Overview

  • The Bureau of Prisons moved Sean “Diddy” Combs on Thursday to the low-security FCI Fort Dix in New Jersey to serve the remainder of his term.
  • BOP records list a projected release date of May 8, 2028, which could change with good-time credits and program reductions.
  • Combs was sentenced on Oct. 3 to 50 months for two Mann Act convictions and was acquitted of racketeering and sex-trafficking charges.
  • His attorneys requested Fort Dix to permit participation in the Residential Drug Abuse Program, and reports say he is housed in a drug-program unit.
  • Combs has filed a notice of appeal with a request for an expedited schedule, and the White House denied reports that President Trump is considering commuting his sentence after Trump said he was asked for a pardon.
