Diddy Dresses as Batman, Mimics Film Despite Warner Bros. 'Joker' Costume Ban

Diddy's Batman tribute includes an elaborate short film featuring a highly-accurate costume, Batmobile, and a controversial message about the ongoing SAG-AFTRA strike, potentially provoking Warner Bros. and the union after alleged ban on his Joker costume.

  • Diddy went all out for Halloween, dressing as Batman in a tribute to the Dark Knight series by Christopher Nolan, complete with a Batmobile, and creating an elaborate short film featuring a surprise cameo of the Joker.
  • Last year, Diddy's impressive rendition of the Joker led to Warner Bros. allegedly sending him cease-and-desist letters, claiming that his portrayal was so good it infringed on their trademark. They allegedly forbade him from dressing as the Joker again.
  • In his Halloween short film, Diddy's Batman confronted a Hollywood executive in his office and demanded an end to the ongoing SAG-AFTRA strike. The executive was left unconscious and stripped of his clothing, covered by a sign reading, 'The strike is over! Love, The Darkest Knight.'
  • The SAG-AFTRA strike isn't officially over and the union is still in talks with AMPTP. Diddy's support for the strike could be viewed as complicating, since he recreated a movie from a struck company.
  • Diddy's Batman costume and short film drew a lot of attention, with celebrities like Khloe Kardashian and 'House Party' actor Jasmin Brown praising it on Instagram. However, it remains to be seen if Warner Bros. and SAG-AFTRA will respond to Diddy's bold move.
