Dick Vitale Set to Return to College Basketball Commentary After Nearly Two Years

The legendary broadcaster will call the Duke vs. Clemson game on February 8 following a prolonged battle with cancer and a recent fall.

Dick Vitale, 85, will return to the broadcast booth for the first time since April 2023, calling the Duke vs. Clemson game on ESPN this Saturday.
Vitale has faced significant health challenges over the past several years, including four bouts with cancer and vocal cord cancer in 2023.
His return was initially scheduled for January 25 but was postponed after he suffered a fall at home, which required hospitalization but no surgery.
The game will feature Vitale alongside Dave O'Brien and Cory Alexander in a three-man commentary team at Clemson's Littlejohn Coliseum.
Vitale, a Hall of Fame broadcaster and iconic figure in college basketball, announced he was cancer-free in January 2025 and has inspired many with his resilience.
