Diamondbacks Sign Kendall Graveman to 1-Year Deal

The veteran reliever, recovering from shoulder surgery, will join Arizona's bullpen pending a physical.

Kendall Graveman, a 34-year-old right-handed reliever, has agreed to a one-year contract with the Arizona Diamondbacks worth $1.35 million, with potential performance bonuses up to $3.3 million.
The agreement is subject to a physical, as Graveman missed the 2024 season after undergoing labrum surgery on his right shoulder in January of that year.
Graveman has a career record of 37-43 with a 3.95 ERA and 24 saves across nine MLB seasons, pitching for teams including the Blue Jays, Athletics, Mariners, Astros, and White Sox.
Since transitioning to a full-time bullpen role in 2021, Graveman has been effective, posting a 3.12 ERA in 68 appearances during the 2023 season and ranking 15th in ERA among relievers since 2021.
Arizona expects Graveman to provide late-inning bullpen depth and potentially compete for the closer role alongside other relievers like A.J. Puk, Kevin Ginkel, and Justin Martinez.
