  • An MRI on Tuesday confirmed a torn right ACL for Lourdes Gurriel Jr., who was placed on the 10-day injured list and will miss the remainder of 2025.
  • Gurriel was hurt Monday while planting to avoid colliding with center fielder Blaze Alexander on a Rowdy Tellez drive; the two did not make contact.
  • Arizona recalled right-hander Taylor Rashi and infielder Connor Kaiser from Triple-A Reno and optioned right-hander Juan Burgos.
  • The 31-year-old finished the season hitting .248 with 19 home runs and 80 RBIs in 129 games after a late surge that produced 32 RBIs since Aug. 1.
  • The club noted the setback could affect his 2026 availability, and he remains under a three-year, $42 million deal through 2026 with a 2027 club option.
