  • Mexico City defeated Jalisco 7-2 at Estadio Panamericano to move up 3-0 and to the brink of a sweep.
  • Catcher Carlos Pérez hit two home runs, José Pirela launched a three-run shot and drove in four, and ex-Charro Allen Córdoba added a solo blast.
  • Right-hander Brooks Hall earned the win with five innings of three-hit ball, allowing two unearned runs, while Luis Iván Rodríguez took the loss for Charros after six allowed.
  • Charros briefly led 2-0 in the third following a throwing error before Diablos turned the game with back-to-back homers; attendance was announced at 14,300.
