Diablo 4 Introduces Gear Enhancement with New Tempering System

The latest season, Loot Reborn, brings a permanent feature allowing players to upgrade weapons and armor with unique affixes.

Tempering allows players to enhance gear with new affixes, improving both Rare and Legendary items.
The system uses Temper Manuals, which drop from various in-game activities and come in Magic, Rare, and Legendary rarities.
Each item can only be tempered a limited number of times, with the cost of tempering increasing for more powerful items.
Players can re-roll affixes up to five times if they do not get the desired outcome.
Tempering is accessible both in the Seasonal and Eternal Realms of Diablo 4.
