DHS Officer’s Pro-Hamas Social Media Posts Under Scrutiny

DHS Officer Placed on Leave for Pro-Terrorism Posts, Former PLO Spokeswoman

Nejwa Ali, a Department of Homeland Security officer, has been placed on administrative leave following the discovery of pro-Hamas and anti-Israel posts on her social media.
Ali previously served as a public affairs officer for the Palestine Liberation Organization’s US delegation between 2016 and 2017, before joining the US Citizenship and Immigration Services in 2019.
Her role at the Homeland Security included vetting people before they enter the US, and she has reportedly expressed support for Palestinian causes for years.
She posted inflammatory comments about Israel under the moniker “Falastine Mi Amor” on private social media accounts, some of which included images of terrorists.
Sen. Josh Hawley questioned how Ali was hired in the first place given her background, and demanded an immediate explanation from the DHS.
