Overview

  • LEAP-1 marks Dhruva Space’s shift from in-space technology demonstrations to its first customer-driven commercial satellite deployment.
  • The satellite is built on the indigenously developed P-30 bus, which earned flight heritage during the January 2024 LEAP-TD mission on ISRO’s PSLV-C58.
  • Akula Tech’s Nexus-01 module will enable on-orbit data processing and AI/ML model retraining for rapid, near-real-time insights.
  • Esper Satellites’ OTR-2 hyperspectral imager will deliver spectrally rich Earth observation data through the EarthTones API.
  • Dhruva Space will manage real-time operations via its GSaaS ground-station service and Integrated Space Operations & Command Suite, underpinned by Indo-Australian and US collaboration.
