Overview

  • Effective July 2025, the cost of a 2 kg EU parcel franked online will rise €0.50 to €6.99 and a 5 kg shipment at post offices will increase €1 to €20.49.
  • International services outside the EU will gain a 2 kg weight category and see the maximum package limit raised to 30 kg.
  • Standard domestic parcel rates remain unchanged except for the Pluspäckchen and Rollenversand, which will cost €8.19 and €3.99 respectively.
  • DHL attributes the adjustments to noticeably higher labor, road transport and delivery expenses, with the steepest mark-ups on shipments bound for Russia.
  • The Bundesnetzagentur has approved the new pricing framework, which also phases out €50 insurance cover on international parcels and rolls out a Mobile Paketmarke digital shipping label.
