• Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar told the CII-ITC Sustainability Awards that India Inc must expand its presence in markets, ideas, standards and solutions to become a trusted global partner.
• He challenged industry to support MSMEs and embed genuine gender and caste diversity in leadership to ensure inclusive growth.
• He described sustainability as a source of competitive advantage and urged firms to invest in renewable energy, green hydrogen, circular economy models and carbon markets.
• He stressed that private sector must lead research and development, invest in indigenous design and skill India’s young workforce to harness its demographic dividend.
• He noted that government is now an enabler within a whole-of-society framework and called on industry to act as a co-architect of India’s development in a volatile world.
