DGP Nalin Prabhat Returns Full Rs 1.53 Crore to Victims in Jammu Job Scam

It follows the landmark seizure of assets under the BNSS, completing the first full restitution of scam proceeds under India’s new victim-centric criminal laws.

  • Co-accused Kamaljeet Kour made a judicial admission to holding ₹1.53 crore and agreed to repay the amount in two scheduled installments.
  • Harpreet Singh, who posed as an army lieutenant colonel to promise jobs in MES, MoD and DRDO, remains in custody as any disputed proceeds are resolved under the attachment order.
