DGGI Arrests Telangana Congress Leader and Factory MD in Hyderabad GST Fraud Cases
The agency says the action follows intelligence developed through data analytics to dismantle organised GST fraud networks.

- M. Sunil Kumar, Managing Director of Orange Passenger Transport and Congress in-charge for Balkonda, was arrested for allegedly collecting Rs 28.24 crore in GST and not remitting it beyond the statutory period.
- Chethan N., Managing Director of Trillion Lead Factory Pvt Ltd, was arrested for allegedly masterminding a fake Input Tax Credit scheme valued at Rs 22 crore.
- Both suspects were booked under provisions of the Central GST Act, 2017 and were produced before a magistrate at the Nampally Criminal Court complex in Hyderabad.
- The DGGI’s Hyderabad unit said the arrests are part of intensified enforcement driven by data analytics and inter-agency collaboration targeting large, inter-state evasion rackets.
- Officials stated that investigations continue to determine the full extent of the suspected fraud and to identify any additional individuals or entities involved.
