Overview

  • Phase one of the International Parkway Project has kicked off as part of a three-phase, 90-day-per-phase plan designed to replace Terminal B’s aging flyover ahead of 2026 World Cup traffic
  • A 52-hour closure of the South Service Road began Aug. 6 to allow crews to dismantle part of the old bridge and tie in the new structure
  • Temporary detours reroute southbound drivers for Terminal B via a U-turn before the North Exit Plaza and redirect all Terminal A traffic onto north International Parkway Airport officials say the accelerated construction technique will cut build time by about 30% compared with conventional methods
  • Travelers are advised to arrive two hours before domestic flights and three hours early for international departures, and to follow posted signage or use the DFW Airport app for updates
