- The Bundesliga will kick off on 28 August 2026, with the 2. Bundesliga and 3. Liga starting on 7 August after the 2026 World Cup.
- The winter break begins on 21 December 2026, with Bundesliga play resuming on 8 January 2027 and the 2. Bundesliga returning on 15 January.
- The DFB-Pokal first round runs 21–24 August 2026, the Franz Beckenbauer Supercup is on 22 August, league finales are set for 22/23 May 2027, relegation ties are 27–28 May and 31 May–1 June, the Pokal final is 29 May, no professional games will be played around 1 May 2027, and a two-week international window is slated for 21 September–6 October with a second window on 9–17 November.
- The DFL also confirmed exact kickoff times for Bundesliga matchdays 13–19 and 2. Bundesliga 15–19, including Dortmund Friday games free-to-air on Sat.1 (19 December and 9 January) and Augsburg vs. Union Berlin on Thursday, 15 January, during the English week.
- Broadcast rules keep Sky’s first pick for the Saturday 18:30 top game with 227 of 306 matches in full, DAZN shows 79 Sunday fixtures, and the schedule adds a first-ever Thursday 20:30 top game.
