Overview
- The draw begins around 17:50 CET on ZDF from the Deutsches Fußballmuseum, with sailor Felix van den Hövel drawing, Lili Engels moderating and DFB vice president Peter Frymuth overseeing.
- All 16 clubs are in a single pot for the Achtelfinale, and the team drawn first in each tie will play at home.
- The field features 10 Bundesliga and 6 2. Bundesliga teams, including Bayern München, Borussia Dortmund, RB Leipzig, VfB Stuttgart, Bayer Leverkusen, Union Berlin, SC Freiburg, HSV, FC St. Pauli and Borussia Mönchengladbach, plus Kaiserslautern, Darmstadt, Hertha BSC, Holstein Kiel, VfL Bochum and Magdeburg.
- The last-16 matches are scheduled for 2–3 December 2025; Sky shows all singles and conference live, ARD/ZDF hold rights to selected fixtures including both semifinals and the final, and DAZN carries highlights after midnight.
- VAR will be used again from this stage, and clubs reaching the Achtelfinale have already earned about €1.483 million in prize money, with the winner’s total haul approaching €11 million.
