DFB Fines Dynamo Dresden €113,450 Over Fan Violence at Rostock Match

The ruling permits up to €37,800 to be used for club security or violence-prevention measures.

Overview

  • The DFB sports court penalized Dynamo for three counts of unsportsmanlike fan conduct linked to the February 22 game at Hansa Rostock.
  • Officials recorded 22 pyrotechnic devices and a fired flare from the Dresden block, and police were injured after officers entering a buffer sector were hit with Bengal flares.
  • During halftime, Dynamo supporters attacked a concession stand, fired signal ammunition, and damaged a turnstile, two toilet bowls, and a hydrant, while staff were unharmed.
  • The disorder delayed the second-half restart by 27 minutes and the match was close to being abandoned.
  • DFB and media accounts state most signal-pen shots came from Rostock fans, and Hansa was earlier fined €135,000 with probation; Dresden must document any approved reinvestment by March 31, 2026.
