Overview
- Drik Panchang marks Panchami Tithi from 11:24 PM on July 28 to 12:46 AM on July 30 with an auspicious puja window from 5:32 AM to 8:13 AM.
- Devotees maintain a strict fast before performing Rudrabhishek on serpent idols with milk and recite the mantra “Anantam, Vasuki, Shesha, Padmanabham, Chakrabalam, Karkotakam, Takshakam.”
- Copper or iron representations of Nag Devtas are offered at homes or temples and later immersed in rivers or the sea as symbolic offerings.
- Worship of the twelve serpent gods—including Ananta, Vasuki, Shesha and Karkotaka—is believed to cleanse time-related negative influences and deliver relief from Kaal Sarp Dosh.
