The landslip prompted local authorities to close the South West Coastal Path for safety reasons.
East Devon District Council warns visitors to maintain a safe distance from the cliffs, which are prone to unpredictable collapses.
Coastguard advises beachgoers to stay a distance equal to the height of the cliff from its base to ensure safety.
Previous similar collapses in the area have been attributed to factors like heavy rainfall and warm weather.
