Overview
- The New Jersey Devils play the Los Angeles Kings at Prudential Center with a 3:30 p.m. ET start on Saturday, Oct. 24, and the game will air locally on MSGSN in New York and ABTV in Los Angeles with DAZN streaming out-of-market.
- New Jersey enters the matinee having won four of five games and scored four or more goals in each of those wins, with Arseny Gritsyuk on a four-game goal streak and the Hughes–Bratt–Gritsyuk line leading team scoring.
- Los Angeles has recovered from a 0-6 start to win consecutive road games on its current five-game trip, a stretch highlighted by Artemi Panarin’s recent multi-goal performance and Brandt Clarke’s overtime winner.
- A blockbuster trade that brought three-time Vezina winner Connor Hellebuyck to the Devils removed Nico Daws from the organization, but Hellebuyck is not yet available to play so Jake Allen is expected to start and Remi Poirier is a possible call-up for the backup role.
- In the short term the move clears a roster spot and shifts the Devils’ crease management, and the team’s upcoming West Coast road trip will show how quickly Hellebuyck can be integrated and how starts are divided once he is cleared.
