- The Devils completed Sheldon Keefe’s coaching and development staff on July 15, 2026 by hiring Leo Luongo as director of goaltending, Dan Stewart as goaltending coach, and Ted Donato and A.J. MacLean as assistant coaches.
- Leo Luongo will oversee goaltending development across the organization and will report to executive vice president of hockey operations Martin Brodeur.
- Dan Stewart joins from six seasons in the St. Louis Blues system where he coached in Springfield and worked with NHL netminders including Joel Hofer and Colten Ellis.
- Ted Donato brings 22 years as Harvard’s head coach and a long track record in college player development while A.J. MacLean adds recent AHL experience and prior working familiarity with Keefe.
- The hires replace last season’s assistants Jeremy Colliton, Brad Shaw, Sergei Brylin and goaltending coach Dave Rogalski and signal GM Sunny Mehta’s push to refocus the Devils on goaltender scouting and development.
