- Independent demonstrations on July 22–23 modified NVIDIA’s RTX Spark Arm64 driver so a GeForce RTX 4060 is recognized by Windows 11 ARM and exposes DirectX 12, Vulkan and CUDA support.
- The main demo used a Huawei Qingyun W510 with a Kunpeng 920 CPU and showed no direct video output from the desktop card, forcing the use of Sunshine and Moonlight game streaming to view the system.
- Performance was uneven because the Kunpeng 920 has weak single‑thread speed and Windows-on-Arm runs many x86/x64 games through a Prism translation layer, which adds CPU overhead and blocks some kernel‑level features.
- A separate test installed the Spark driver manually through Device Manager on a Snapdragon X Elite laptop with an RTX 4060 eGPU and Razer Thunderbolt 5 dock, achieving substantially higher benchmarked frame rates in Cyberpunk 2077 and Forza Horizon 6.
- The work is a proof of concept that desktop GeForce hardware can run on Arm Windows if vendors provide polished Arm64 drivers and firmware, but current setups rely on fragile hacks, lack display encoder support, and are not consumer ready ahead of Spark‑class device launches this autumn.
